A forestry mulchester fitted with steel chipper equipment ("teeth," or twisted grass blades) is used by a forestry mulch, often referred to as a woodland mucher, mastics or brushcutter. It is produced as coated tractors or mulch accessories for tractors, skid steers or excavators for current tracked and rubber-tired tractors.Based on climate, composition and form of plant, heavy forest mulchers can clear up to fifteen hectares of vegetation per day. Forest mulchers are often used to clear land, to monitor right of way, to power pipeline and the protection and maintenance of wildfires, to maintain trees, to combat invasive species and to preserve habitat.
